Exim Bank Deputy Manager & Manager Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility (age, educational qualification, etc.) is computed as on 31-08-2026, as detailed below for each post.
Manager (Grade/Scale MM II) – Internal Audit (2 Posts)
Qualification: Minimum 50% aggregate marks / equivalent CGPA in Graduation (minimum 3-year full-time course), AND Post Graduation (MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM / MMS) with specialization in Finance / International Business / Foreign Trade, or Chartered Accountant (CA). The Post Graduation course should be a minimum 2-year full-time duration with a specialization in Finance and minimum 50% aggregate marks / equivalent CGPA. For CA, passing the professional examination is sufficient, and membership of ICAI is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a scheduled commercial bank, an all-India financial institution, or another organization of repute, in internal audit / credit audit, including handling preparation and submission of reports by internal/concurrent auditors, audit compliance, analysis and timely submission of audit observations to the audit committee, review of internal/concurrent audit scope and systems/procedures/controls, and experience dealing with RBI on audit/inspection matters (in Scale I or equivalent).
Deputy Manager (Grade/Scale JM I) – Banking Operations (6 Posts)
Qualification: Minimum 50% aggregate marks / equivalent CGPA in Graduation (minimum 3-year full-time course), AND Post Graduation (MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM / MMS) with specialization in Finance / International Business / Foreign Trade, or Chartered Accountant (CA), on the same terms as above.
Experience (as on 31-08-2026): Minimum 1 year of post-qualification (Post Graduation or CA) work experience in a reputed commercial bank / financial institution / state level term lending institution, with skills in project finance, credit appraisal, term lending, analysis of cross-border risks, and financing of overseas joint ventures.
Other Eligibility Notes
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in computers and information technology.
- Candidates from universities awarding CGPA/GPA instead of numerical marks must furnish a conversion letter from the head of the institute / controller of examination if the equivalent percentage is not mentioned on the marksheet.
- The university/institute must be recognised/approved by the Government / AICTE / UGC.
- Candidates who completed graduation or post-graduation through correspondence / part-time / open university / open learning / external / distance / e-learning are not eligible.
Exim Bank Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
Age is computed as on 31-08-2026. The maximum age below already includes applicable age relaxation.
As per Government of India guidelines, the upper age limit for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) is relaxed by an additional 10 years, and for Ex-servicemen by an additional 5 years.
Exim Bank Deputy Manager & Manager Salary
In addition to pay, selected candidates are eligible for allowances, perquisites, and benefits applicable to the grade as per the Bank’s rules prevailing at the time of joining, including residential/leased accommodation (subject to availability) and loan schemes for housing, vehicle, and children’s education.
Exim Bank Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
Fees are non-refundable, including in cases where the applicant is later found ineligible for the post. Bank transaction charges for online payment must be borne by the candidate. The notification does not separately specify a fee amount for General/Unreserved male candidates.
Exim Bank Deputy Manager & Manager Selection Process
Selection comprises a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview.
Structure of Written Test
There is no sectional cut-off; the final list for interviews is drawn based on the candidate’s overall performance in the written test. Final selection is based on combined performance in the Written Examination (out of 100, with 70% weightage) and the Interview (out of 100, with 30% weightage). A pre-recruitment training will be organised for candidates from reserved categories who opt for it through the online application form.
How to Apply for Exim Bank Recruitment 2026
Candidates can apply online only, from 15 September 2026 to 21 October 2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.
- Visit the Bank’s Online Application page and click “APPLY ONLINE.”
- Choose “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details, and Email ID. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and also sent via email/SMS.
- Fill in the application form; use “SAVE AND NEXT” to save progress before final submission, since no changes are possible after clicking “COMPLETE REGISTRATION.”
- Upload your Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and Handwritten Declaration as per the prescribed specifications.
- Fill in remaining details, preview the application, and click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” only after verifying all details.
- Proceed to the “Payment” tab and complete the online fee payment, then click “Submit.”
- Take a printout of the e-Receipt and the completed online application form for future reference.
Note: Candidates can apply for only one post. If a candidate applies for more than one post, only the latest valid (completed) application/registration will be retained, and fees paid for other registrations will stand forfeited.

Important Instructions
- Candidates should be willing to serve anywhere in India; selected candidates may also be transferred to offices outside India with their consent.
- OBC caste certificates must specifically contain the non-creamy layer clause and must be valid (issued within one year prior to) the last date of applying.
- Deputy Managers must execute a personal bond of ₹3 lakhs to serve the Bank for a minimum of 5 years from the date of joining.
- Candidates who have defaulted on loan repayment or appear in the CIBIL defaulter database are not eligible to join the Bank.
- Selected candidates already in service must produce a proper relieving letter/discharge certificate in original at the time of joining.
- Any legal proceedings related to this advertisement can be instituted only in Mumbai, with courts/tribunals in Mumbai having sole and exclusive jurisdiction.
- The Bank reserves the right to cancel, restrict, curtail, or enlarge the recruitment process, including the number of vacancies, at any stage without notice.
- Candidates whose writing speed is permanently affected may use a scribe at their own cost and arrangement, subject to the Bank’s stipulated scribe guidelines, and will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination if registered for it in advance.
Action against misconduct: Candidates found using unfair means, impersonation, misbehaviour in the examination/interview hall, disclosing or transmitting exam content, carrying mobile phones/electronic devices into the hall, or providing false information may be disqualified from the examination, debarred from future Bank examinations, or, if already employed, have their service terminated – in addition to being liable for criminal prosecution.
