In addition to the consolidated monthly pay mentioned against each post, MECON offers a comprehensive benefits package to all contractual employees. Employees deployed at site/project locations receive a Site Allowance of 7.5% of pay, while those at Metro locations receive a Metro Allowance of 2.5% of pay. An annual increment on consolidated pay (rounded to the next ten rupees) is provided subject to company rules. Medical facilities including OPD and IPD treatment are available at Ispat Hospital, Ranchi, for employees posted at Ranchi (covering self, spouse, and 2 dependent children). For other locations, a company-retained doctor provides free consultation. Additionally, reimbursement of up to ₹15,000 per year towards Mediclaim premium (₹4,00,000 on floater basis) is available as per company policy.

Company accommodation (family or bachelor) may be provided based on availability at applicable charges; if not availed, HRA at 5% of consolidated pay is payable. MECON Limited FTFT Recruitment 2026 – Definition of Work Experience

Work experience will be counted only if it is in a full-time job on a regular salary basis and in the relevant area as stipulated against the respective post. Intermittent or freelance experience will not be counted. Entrepreneurial experience is also not eligible. For Management Trainees, Executive Trainees, and Graduate Trainees, only the on-the-job training period served in PSUs will be counted towards experience. Articleship, internship, academic projects, teaching, and research experience will not be considered as post-qualification experience. However, the period of apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act will be counted towards the required post-qualification experience. All experience claimed must be substantiated with documentary evidence as specified; self-declarations regarding the nature of work or relevance of experience will not be accepted.

Candidates must provide valid work experience certificates for all past employments mentioned in the application form. These certificates must clearly mention the date of joining, date of relieving, nature of duties, and specific areas of experience with relevance to the applied post. In the absence of a certificate from any past employer, the experience from that employer will not be counted, and the candidature may be rejected if minimum experience is not met. For current employment, candidates must submit an Experience Certificate or Offer/Appointment Letter along with Pay Slips for the last 3 months from the date of the advertisement. The upper age limit for each post is 50 years for General (UR) and EWS category candidates, as calculated on the cut-off date of 23.03.2026. Age relaxation is provided as per Government of India guidelines. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get a relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST candidates get 5 years, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) get relaxation of 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC-NCL), or 15 years (SC/ST).

Reservations for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD (Persons with Disability – 40% or above), and EWS candidates are provided as per Government of India guidelines. Reservation for PwD is on a horizontal basis. SC, ST, and OBC (NCL) candidates applying against UR category posts will be considered on General category merit – no age relaxation or fee waiver applies to them in such cases. Candidates applying under UR, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), or EWS category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred only). Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, or Ex-Servicemen categories, as well as internal MECON candidates, are fully exempted from paying any fee.

The application fee must be paid online through the payment gateway provided on MECON’s official website. No other mode of payment (such as demand draft, postal order, or cash) is accepted. Once the fee is paid, candidates must click the “Verify” button to update the application status to “Submitted.” Fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, so candidates are strongly advised to verify their eligibility before making payment. Applications submitted without fee or with insufficient fee will be rejected.

The selection process for MECON FTFT Recruitment 2026 is through Walk-In-Interview. Walk-In-Interviews will be conducted at four locations – Delhi, Ranchi, Kolkata, and Bangalore – and the specific dates and times will be published on the MECON Careers page. MECON Limited FTFT Recruitment 2026 – Travelling Allowance (TA) for Interview

Outstation candidates who appear for the Walk-In-Interview are entitled to reimbursement of travelling allowance (TA) for to-and-fro travel by the shortest route from their mailing address (as mentioned in the application) to the interview venue. TA will be paid at III Tier AC (3A) / Chair Car (CC) rail fare rates, or ₹7 per km by road, whichever is less, subject to production of original tickets/receipts and/or boarding passes. Rail fare will be at regular (non-Tatkal/non-premium Tatkal) rates only. Internal MECON candidates will be governed by company service rules.

Candidates should note that scrutiny of applications is conducted on the interview date itself – if any claim is found unsubstantiated, the candidate will not be interviewed and no TA will be paid. TA forms must be submitted along with proof of travel, bank account number, and IFSC code of the bank branch for payment processing.
