GMCH Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Only Indian Nationals are allowed to apply. Candidates of foreign nationality are not eligible for these posts.
Educational Qualification
For all four post categories – Senior Resident, CMO (General Medicine & General Surgery), Resident Anaesthetist, and Resident Pathologist – the essential qualification is:
- A Postgraduate Medical Degree, i.e., M.D./M.S./DNB/M.Ch./D.M. or equivalent in the concerned specialty, as per the Central Residency Scheme
- The degree must be recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the candidate registered with either the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council
- Candidates who have already completed a three-year tenure of Senior Residency are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident

GMCH Pay Scale
Senior Residents, CMO (General Medicine & General Surgery), Resident Anaesthetist, and Resident Pathologist holding a PG degree will be paid in the pay scale of ₹67,700/- (minimum pay, 1st Cell of Level-11, as per Schedule Part A of the Pay Matrix), plus Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) at 20%, as per the Central Government Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016.
GMCH Application Fee
- Non-refundable fee of ₹500/-, deposited on the spot at GMCH
- Applicants applying for multiple posts/departments need to deposit this fee only once

GMCH Selection Process
Selection is through walk-in interview only. There is no mention of a written examination in this notice.

- Persons who previously worked at this institute and whose services were terminated on account of misconduct or otherwise are not eligible to apply
Tenure of the Posts

- If work and conduct are not found satisfactory at any stage, services may be terminated without assigning any reason
- If Senior Residency is done at any Central Institution/Hospital under the Central Residency Scheme, that period is counted toward the maximum tenure of three years (including previous experience); the maximum period of Senior Residency cannot exceed three years
