Candidates appearing in their final year of Senior Secondary may also apply, but must acquire the qualification as per the relevant departmental service rules.
The specific educational qualification, experience, and other eligibility conditions for each included post will be governed by the applicable service rules of that department. These will be detailed in the department-wise main recruitment notification.
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 1 January 2027 to be eligible for Rajasthan CET Senior Secondary Level 2026.
Age Relaxation:
| Category | Relaxation |
|---|---|
| General Women | 5 years |
| SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male (Rajasthan domicile) | 5 years |
| SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Female (Rajasthan domicile) | 10 years |

Application Fee (OTR One Time Registration)
The fee for Rajasthan CET 2026 is collected as a One Time Registration (OTR) charge through the SSO Portal. Candidates who have already paid OTR fees in a previous cycle do not need to pay again. Payments can be made through state-authorised e-Mitra kiosks, Jan Suvidha Kendras (CSC), net banking, ATM-cum-debit cards, or credit cards.
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| General / Creamy Layer OBC / MBC | ₹600 |
| Non-Creamy Layer OBC / MBC (Rajasthan) + EWS + SC / ST (Rajasthan) | ₹400 |
| All Divyang (PwD) candidates | ₹400 |
Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are treated as General category and must pay ₹600. If an applicant remains absent in two or more exams in a financial year (1 April–31 March) across RPSC, RSSB, or any other state recruitment agency, their OTR facility will be blocked; reactivation requires a penalty fee of ₹750 (first instance) or ₹1,500 (second instance).
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates who wish to be eligible for departmental selection must score a minimum of 40% marks in the CET. SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 percentage points, i.e., a minimum of 35%. Divyang candidates are entitled to a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks as per Rajasthan Divyangjan Rights (Amendment) Rules 2021, Rule 6(B).
Scoring above 40% in the CET does not guarantee a job; it only makes a candidate eligible to appear in the separate departmental recruitment exam (written test and/or interview) for specific posts.
Selection Process
The Rajasthan CET Senior Secondary Level 2026 is only a qualifying/eligibility examination. After the CET, the actual recruitment for each post is conducted through a separate departmental process. Candidates should understand that clearing CET is the first step in a multi-stage recruitment cycle.
Stage 1 – CET (Common Eligibility Test)
An OMR-based offline exam of 120 questions carrying 240 marks, to be held 23–25 October 2026. Duration is 2 hours 30 minutes. Each wrong answer carries a negative mark of 1/3 of the marks allotted to the question. Each question has five options (A, B, C, D, E); if a candidate does not attempt a question, they must darken option E, otherwise 1/3 marks will be deducted for non-darkening in more than 10% of questions.
Stage 2 – Departmental Main Recruitment Exam
Once the Board announces vacancy-wise recruitment, eligible CET scorers must appear in a departmental written test or interview (or both) conducted by the respective recruiting agency as per applicable service rules.
Stage 3 – Document Verification and Medical
Category-wise merit-listed candidates undergo document verification and medical examination before final appointment.
If the Board conducts the recruitment exam in more than one shift or session, normalization of scores will be applied.

Troubleshooting / Common Mistakes
1. Submitting the application without completing OTR first.
The OTR (One Time Registration) must be completed before the application form can be submitted. Incomplete OTR leads to incomplete or unaccepted applications. Do not confuse the OTR fee payment portal with the application submission page.
2. Using someone else’s SSO ID to apply.
Applications submitted through another person’s SSO ID will be rejected outright. Every applicant must use their own SSO ID and should not share it.
3. Applying under the wrong category.
Creamy layer OBC/MBC candidates from Rajasthan and all reserved-category candidates from other states must apply under General category. Applying under an incorrect category cannot be corrected after the editing window closes.
4. Uploading a blurred, filtered, or edited live photo.
The live photo must be captured via OTR’s live camera – not uploaded from a mobile gallery or edited using any photo editor. Such manipulation leads to automatic disqualification.
5. Darkening more than one option per question or leaving more than 10% of questions without any option darkened.
In the OMR-based exam, candidates who leave more than 10% of questions without darkening any of the five circles will be disqualified. If not attempting a question, darken option E.
6. Not keeping a printout of the submitted application.
Once Final Submitted, certain fields cannot be changed. Keep the application printout safely for document verification and future reference.
7. Waiting until the last day to apply.
Technical delays in OTR payment processing are the applicant’s own responsibility. Pay OTR and submit the application well before 23 July 2026.
