The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released the RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment 2026 notification under CEN No. 06/2026 for 3,548 vacancies in Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate).
The recruitment includes Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist posts. Eligible graduates can submit the online application from 08 October 2026 to 06 November 2026 at 11:59 PM.

RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026 is being conducted for recruitment to four graduate-level Non-Technical Popular Category posts in Indian Railways.

RRB NTPC Graduate Vacancy and Salary 2026
A total of 3,548 vacancies have been announced under RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026. The highest number of vacancies is for Goods Train Manager with 2,750 posts.
The RRB-wise, Railway Zone-wise and post-wise distribution of vacancies is provided in Annexure B of CEN No. 06/2026. The notified vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease depending on Railway requirements.

RRB NTPC Graduate Eligibility 2026
RRB NTPC Graduate Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent for all four posts under RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026.
Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification on or before 06 November 2026. Candidates awaiting the final result of the qualifying examination are not eligible to apply.
Is Typing Skill Test Required for RRB NTPC Graduate 2026?
No. The Typing Skill Test for Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist has been dispensed with for CEN No. 06/2026.
However, candidates appointed to these posts are expected to have basic computer and typing proficiency. Their proficiency may be assessed after joining, and unsatisfactory performance may affect or delay confirmation or promotion.
RRB NTPC Graduate Age Limit 2026
The age limit for all posts under CEN No. 06/2026 is calculated as on 01 January 2027.
RRB NTPC Graduate Age Relaxation
Additional age concessions are available to eligible serving Railway employees, Quasi-Administrative Railway employees, widowed/divorced/judicially separated women and other specified categories as mentioned in the official notification.
RRB NTPC Graduate Application Fee 2026
The examination fee can be paid online through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.
Important: The fee refund is available only to candidates who actually appear in the 1st Stage CBT.
Economically Backward Class (EBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and OBC are different categories. EBC under this CEN is relevant to the fee concession and should not be confused with EWS reservation.
RRB NTPC Graduate Selection Process 2026
The recruitment process for RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026 consists of:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
There is no Typing Skill Test under CEN 06/2026, including for Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification RRB-wise in the ratio of approximately 1:1 against the notified vacancies, based on merit and the applicable recruitment rules.
RRB NTPC Graduate Exam Pattern 2026
RRB NTPC CBT 1 Exam Pattern
Duration: 90 minutes.
Eligible PwBD/PwD candidates using a scribe will receive 120 minutes.
Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
RRB NTPC CBT 2 Exam Pattern
Duration: 90 minutes.
Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
RRB NTPC Minimum Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.

The RRB NTPC Graduate online application process starts on 08 October 2026. Candidates must complete their application by 06 November 2026 at 11:59 PM.
How to Apply for RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official RRB application portal.
- Open the application for CEN No. 06/2026 – NTPC Graduate.
- Select Create an Account if you do not already have an RRB account.
- Candidates who created an account for earlier RRB CENs in 2024, 2025 or 2026 should use the same login credentials.
- Complete Aadhaar/DigiLocker identity authentication where applicable.
- Select only one RRB carefully.
- Enter personal, educational, category and other required details.
- Choose eligible Railway/Production Unit and post preferences.
- Capture the live photograph through the application portal.
- Upload the signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable examination fee.
- Preview all information carefully.
- Submit the application before 06 November 2026 at 11:59 PM.
- Save the registration details and submitted application for future reference.
Important: Candidates must submit only one application against CEN No. 06/2026. Multiple applications to the same or different RRBs can lead to rejection of all applications and debarment from future RRB/RRC examinations.
RRB NTPC Application Correction Window 2026
The application modification window will be open from 09 November to 18 November 2026.
Candidates can modify eligible application details by paying a ₹250 non-refundable modification fee for each occasion.
Details entered under Create an Account, including mobile number and email ID, and the Chosen RRB cannot be changed.
RRB NTPC Graduate Photo and Signature Size 2026
For RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026, candidates are not required to upload a pre-existing passport photograph. The application portal will capture a live photograph during the online application process.
RRB NTPC Live Photo Requirements
- The photograph must be captured live using a computer/laptop webcam or mobile phone front camera.
- Use a pure plain white background.
- Wear non-white clothing, preferably a plain dark colour, to maintain contrast.
- Look directly at the camera with a neutral expression.
- The entire face must be clearly visible and centered.
- The head should occupy at least 50% of the photograph area.
- Do not wear a cap, mask or spectacles while capturing the photograph.
- Do not photograph a printed or existing digital photograph.
Important: Since the photograph is captured live, there is no separate RRB NTPC photo upload size or KB requirement for a pre-existing photograph under CEN 06/2026.
RRB NTPC Signature Size 2026
The signature must be written by the candidate in normal running handwriting. Signatures written in BLOCK LETTERS, CAPITAL LETTERS or disjointed letters are not accepted.
RRB NTPC Signature Compressor and Image Resizer
