Eligibility Criteria for CSPDCL Apprenticeship 2026

To apply for CSPDCL Apprenticeship 2026-27, candidates must be a domicile of Chhattisgarh, hold a relevant degree or diploma from a recognised university/institution, and must not have prior work experience of one year or more, or be currently undergoing similar training elsewhere.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): B.E. / B.Tech degree in Electrical, EEE, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. / BBA / BCOM from a recognised university in the relevant stream.
• Diploma Apprentice (Engineering): Diploma in Electrical / EEE or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.

Other Key Conditions

• The applicant must be a permanent resident / domicile of Chhattisgarh state.
• Candidates with one year or more of work experience are not eligible.
• Candidates currently undergoing or who have previously completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 at any other establishment are not eligible.
• Graduate candidates must have completed their graduation not more than five years prior to the commencement of training (otherwise ineligible).
• Registration on the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal is mandatory before applying.

Selection Process – Merit-Based Shortlisting

CSPDCL selects apprentices purely on the basis of a merit list prepared from marks scored in the qualifying degree or diploma examination. No separate written test or interview is conducted.

Candidate selection will be done strictly through a merit list based on marks obtained in the bachelor’s degree or diploma examination. There is no written test or interview for this apprenticeship. The higher the percentage in your qualifying exam, the better your chances of selection.

All selected candidates must submit a declaration at the time of joining, confirming they have not previously received training under the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended up to 2025) at any establishment.

Documents Required with Application

Applicants must attach self-attested photocopies of educational certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and the NATS Registration Form along with the application.

All applicants must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at www.nats.education.gov.in before submitting their CSPDCL application. The NATS Registration Number must be mentioned on the application form and the envelope – this is mandatory.

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is operated under the Ministry of  Education, Government of India. Registration on this platform is a mandatory prerequisite for all apprenticeship programs regulated under the Apprentices Act. Candidates who do not have a valid NATS registration number cannot submit a valid application.

Steps to Register on NATS:

1. Visit the NATS Portal: Go to www.nats.education.gov.in.
2. Register as a Student / Apprentice: Click on “Enroll” and select “Apprentice.” Fill in your personal, educational, and bank details.
3. Generate Your NATS Registration Number: After successful submission, you will receive a unique NATS registration number. Note it down carefully.
4. Download Your NATS Registration Form: Download and print the registration form. This must be enclosed with your CSPDCL application.
5. Mention the Number on Application & Envelope: Write your NATS registration number on both the application form and on the outer envelope in the prescribed format.

How to Apply for CSPDCL Apprenticeship 2026

CSPDCL apprenticeship applications must be submitted offline – either by post or in person – to the Executive Director (Training, Research & Development), CSPDCL, Kota Road, Gudhiyari, Raipur, C.G. – 492009, on or before 24 July 2026.

Unlike many modern recruitments, CSPDCL Apprenticeship 2026-27 applications are accepted only in physical (offline) format. However, before applying, all candidates must complete their online registration on the NATS portal. Follow the step-by-step process below:

1. Complete NATS Registration Online: Visit www.nats.education.gov.in and register as an apprentice to obtain your NATS registration number. This is the only online step.
