The application fee is non-refundable. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore advised to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee. Offline Payment: State Bank of India is authorized to collect the application fee in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC. NTPC Assistant Chemist Trainee Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Eligible candidates will appear for an All India based Online Selection Test. Based on category-wise merit and number of vacancies, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification/further selection process. Candidates must qualify separately in both parts of the Online Selection Test.

Candidates must qualify separately in both the Subject Knowledge Test and the Executive Aptitude Test. Shortlisting for document verification will be based on category-wise merit in the Online Selection Test.
Placement & Service Bond
The selected candidates will undergo one-year training at various places. The final place of posting will be decided after completion of training and the posting shall be at any of the Stations/Projects/JVs/Subsidiaries of NTPC. All posts are transferable at the sole discretion of Management.
Selected candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories will be required to execute a service bond of Rs. 2,50,000/-. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories, the service bond amount is Rs. 1,25,000/-. They must serve the company for at least 3 years after successful completion of one-year training.
