The result has been declared by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), Indore. MPPSC conducts recruitment examinations for various academic and administrative posts under the Government of Madhya Pradesh, including this Assistant Professor recruitment drive for the Higher  Education Department.

Examination and Post Details

The recruitment was carried out for the post of Assistant Professor, Hindi, under the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. This recruitment was advertised through Advertisement No. 24/2024 dated 30.12.2024, along with subsequent corrigenda issued from time to time.

A total of 113 posts were advertised for this position, distributed as follows:

• Unreserved: 0
• SC (Scheduled Caste): 15
• ST (Scheduled Tribe): 21
• OBC (Other Backward Class): 62
• EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 15

Result Status

The result is officially declared for 87 percent of the advertised posts, which is referred to as the “main part” of the recruitment. The remaining 13 percent, called the “provisional part,” has not been declared yet. According to the official notice, the provisional part selection result will be announced after the final judicial decision in the pending court cases related to Other Backward Class (OBC) reservation.

4. Open the PDF file of the selection list
5. Use Ctrl+F (or search function) to find your roll number
6. Download and save the PDF for future reference

Category-Wise Post Distribution (Main Part – 87%)

Additionally, out of the total posts, seats are reserved for candidates with disabilities as follows:

• Locomotor disability: 2 posts
• Visually impaired: 2 posts
• Hearing impaired: 11 posts

Selection Process

The recruitment for the Assistant Professor (Hindi) post followed a two-stage selection process:

1. Written Examination: Held on 1 June 2025, with results declared on 13 November 2025.
2. Interview: Conducted between 4 June 2026 and 19 June 2026 for candidates who qualified the written exam.

The final selection is based on the combined merit of marks scored in the written exam and the interview.

Important Instructions

• Selection against unreserved posts under the reserved category is done strictly on merit, without any relaxation, as per the general administration department’s guidelines dated 7 November 2000.
• Posts reserved for women, where a sufficient number of women candidates is not available, are filled by male candidates of the same category, as per the guidelines dated 10 February 1997.
• The declared result remains subject to the final judicial decision in pending Special Leave Petitions and writ petitions before the Supreme Court and the High Court related to reservation matters.
• Cases related to candidates involved in ongoing court matters have been kept pending and withheld until the final court decision.
• The eligibility and age relaxation for guest faculty reservation has been verified by a departmental committee nominated by the Higher  Education Department.
• If any computer or clerical error is noticed after publication of the result, the Commission reserves the right to correct the selection result.
