Educational Qualification for JKSSB Warder Post
- Minimum Matriculation (10th) and Maximum 10+2 from a recognised Board of School Education/Institution.
- Candidates must clear the Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test as detailed below.

JKSSB Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2026
Selection for the post of Warder comprises a Written Examination followed by a Physical Standard Test, Physical Endurance Test, and Document Verification.
Written Examination
- The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions, set in the English language only.
- There will be negative marking for each wrong answer to the extent of one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates are shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test on the basis of the written test, at six times the total number of vacancies to be filled in each category. The prescribed physical standards are:

Note: For this purpose, the age of the Ex-Serviceman is his actual age as on 1 January 2026. All Ex-Servicemen must also pass the written test and meet the prescribed medical standards for direct recruits. The Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test are both qualifying in nature only.

Reservation Policy in JKSSB Warder Recruitment 2026
- Reservation for the advertised posts is applicable as per the category-wise break-up conveyed by the Indenting Department and the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules, as amended from time to time.
- Candidates seeking reserved category consideration must possess a valid Category Certificate strictly as on the cut-off date, uploaded at the time of application; no further opportunity to upload documents will be given later.
- Reservation certificates must be in the prescribed format as per the relevant Act/S.O.; certificates in any other format will not be entertained.
- Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) is applicable as per extant rules, for posts up to Pay Level-6E (35,900–1,13,500).

- ESM candidates must produce a Certificate in Form-XIV, duly signed by the competent authority, as provided in Rule 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules, 2005.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for this post.

- Only one online application is allowed per candidate for the post of the same item number; if multiple applications are detected, the Board will consider the latest one, and appearing in the examination more than once under the same item number will lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment.

Document Verification (DV)

- Failure to appear before the Document Verification Committee, or failure to produce original documents on the scheduled date, will result in the candidate not being considered for selection.
- No TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test or Document Verification.
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs and a valid original ID proof must be produced at the time of Document Verification.

- Misconduct/Malpractice: Any irregularity, misconduct, malpractice, or misbehaviour at any stage of the selection process will lead to debarment from JKSSB examinations for a period deemed appropriate, besides other penal action under extant rules and laws.
