BHEL Haridwar Trade Apprentice Vacancy Details 2026

BHEL Haridwar has announced 187 apprentice vacancies across seven trades. The number of vacancies is provisional and may change based on final assessment.

BHEL Haridwar Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates who have passed ITI in the relevant trade from an NCVT-recognized institute are eligible to apply. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training after ITI, or who have one year or more of job experience, or who are pursuing any regular course, are not eligible to apply.

• Candidates must be regular ITI pass-outs from an NCVT or SCVT recognized institute for the years 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, depending on the trade.
• Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship as a private candidate are not eligible.
• Only candidates who passed ITI in 2023 or later, with a marksheet issued by the board, are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification for BHEL Trade Apprentice 2026

• Candidate must have passed High School (Class 10).
• Candidate must have passed ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training).
• For Welder and Electrician trades, ITI passed from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training) is also accepted.
• Minimum marks required in ITI:
  • General / EWS / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category: minimum 60%
  • SC / ST category: minimum 55%

BHEL Haridwar Apprentice Age Limit 2026

Age is calculated as on 01 July 2026.

BHEL Haridwar Trade Apprentice Stipend

All selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend during the training period as per applicable apprenticeship guidelines. The exact stipend amount will be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act and related rules.

Reservation Policy

• Reservation will be provided as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD candidates.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit a caste certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025; older or expired certificates will not be accepted, and the certificate must be in the format prescribed by the Government of India.
• EWS candidates must submit an EWS certificate valid for financial year 2026-27.
• Reservation will be provided to dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees (working/retired/deceased) as per company rules.
• Priority will be given to candidates domiciled in Uttarakhand, for which a valid Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate is mandatory (not required for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees).

BHEL Haridwar Apprentice Selection Process 2026

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared using a weighted average formula:

• 70% weightage to marks obtained in ITI
• 30% weightage to marks obtained in High School

In case of a tie in weighted average marks, preference will be given to the candidate with a higher ITI percentage. If the tie persists, preference will be given to the older candidate (higher age). If the number of eligible candidates in a trade is less than or equal to the number of vacancies, all eligible candidates will be called directly for training.

Documents Required for BHEL Haridwar Apprentice Application

The following documents must be uploaded online (Part 2 of the application) and later submitted physically along with the acknowledgement slip:

1. Latest passport-size colour photograph (.jpg/.jpeg, up to 30 KB)
2. High School (Class 10) certificate
3. ITI consolidated marksheet (or all semester marksheets if consolidated marksheet is unavailable)
4. Aadhaar Card
5. Caste certificate / EWS certificate (if applicable)
6. Disability certificate (if applicable)
7. Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate (mandatory for Uttarakhand residents; not required for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees)
8. Registration proof from the Apprenticeship Portal (profile printout with name, registration number, date of birth, etc.)
9. “Form for Employee Ward” (only applicable for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees)

How to Apply for BHEL Haridwar Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The application process has two steps:

Step 1: Register on the Apprenticeship Portal

Candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. All details, including the Aadhaar number, must be entered carefully. The name, father’s name, and date of birth in Aadhaar must match exactly, and the portal must show successful Aadhaar verification.

Step 2: Apply Online on the BHEL Haridwar Career Website

After registering on the Apprenticeship Portal, candidates must complete the online application form under the link “Engagement of Trade Apprenticeship for 2026, BHEL Haridwar” on the BHEL Haridwar career website: hwr.bhel.com/recruitment.

• Fill in all personal details accurately, including name, father’s name, date of birth, category, High School and ITI marks.
• Upload a recent passport-size photograph (.jpg/.jpeg, up to 30 KB).
• Upload the required documents in PDF format (up to 500 KB).
• The last date to submit the online application is 15 July 2026.

Step 3: Submit the Acknowledgement Slip and Documents by Post

After successfully submitting the online form, candidates must take a printout of the Acknowledgement Slip and send it, along with self-attested photocopies of the required documents, in an envelope marked “Trade Apprentice Training 2026 Application Form and Trade Name” to the address below by post or in person, on or before 27 July 2026:

Important Instructions for Applicants

• Applications received without complete details, without the required uploaded documents, or without submission of the acknowledgement slip and documents will be rejected.
• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training and were terminated from another organization within three months prior to joining BHEL are not eligible under the Apprentices (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
• Dependents (spouse/children) of BHEL Haridwar employees get a 3-year relaxation in the ITI passing year requirement, subject to RDSDE online approval; registration on the Apprenticeship Portal is still mandatory.
• No travelling allowance or dearness allowance will be paid to candidates called for joining/reporting.
• Selected candidates must make their own arrangements for stay and food during the training period.
• This training does not confer any right or claim to regular employment at BHEL.
• Any corrigendum, correction, or update related to this recruitment will be published only on the official BHEL Haridwar career website; no separate notice will be given through newspapers or other media.
• Management reserves the right to modify, postpone, cancel, or suspend the selection process at any time without assigning any reason, and its decision will be final.
