Eligibility Criteria for Anganwadi Worker & Helper Recruitment

• Only local resident women of the concerned Gram Panchayat (for rural areas) or the concerned ward of the urban Anganwadi centre (for urban areas) are eligible to apply.
• A woman applying for an Anganwadi centre should be a local resident of the same Gram Panchayat as the revenue village to which that Anganwadi centre belongs.
• A widowed or divorced woman may be considered a local resident with reference to either her marital (sasural) home or her parental (maayka) home, as applicable.
• Both married and unmarried women are eligible to apply for the posts of Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper.
• If a selected woman marries and, as a result, is no longer a local resident of the concerned Gram Panchayat, her honorary (mandey) service is automatically treated as terminated. Candidates are required to give a self-declaration (affidavit) regarding this at the time of application.

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification for both Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper posts is Senior Secondary (Class 12th) pass. Marks/weightage for educational qualification will be determined as per the selection format (“Mulyankan Patra-B”) revised on 01.10.2024 issued by the Directorate.

Selection Process

• Selection will be carried out following the guidelines of the departmental circular dated 12.01.2023 and the amended guidelines dated 01.03.2024 and 01.10.2024, along with other circulars/standards issued by the department from time to time.
• The selection process is to be conducted through the medium of upcoming Gram Sabhas.
• Marks for educational qualification of Worker and Helper candidates will be determined as per the Directorate’s revised evaluation format (“Mulyankan Patra-B”) dated 01.10.2024.
• Where the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / minority population is 50% or more within the coverage area of an Anganwadi centre, selection for that post is mandatorily made from a woman of that respective category. Population figures are determined on the basis of the Anganwadi survey register.
• The concerned Child Development Project Officer will be held accountable for any irregularity found in the selection process.

Documents Required

• Duly filled application form (two self-attested hard copies)
• Proof of local residency (as per Gram Panchayat / revenue village / ward)
• Educational qualification certificates (minimum 12th pass)
• Category certificate, where applicable (SC / ST / OBC, etc.)
• For OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates: non-creamy layer certificate valid for 3 years from date of issue, as per Social Justice & Empowerment Department circular no. 45955 dated 08.08.2019; a certificate older than 3 years from the notification date will not be considered valid
• For divorced women: a certified copy of the divorce certificate/decree issued by a competent court, along with a self-declaration that she will not remarry
• Self-declaration/affidavit regarding automatic termination of mandey service upon change of local residency due to marriage

How to Apply for Barmer Anganwadi  Recruitment 2026

1. Obtain the application form and check the vacancy details, eligibility conditions and reserved category for your Gram Panchayat/Anganwadi centre from the concerned Bal Vikas Pariyojana (CDPO) office or the official website www.wcd.rajasthan.gov.in.
2. Fill the application form completely and attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
3. Prepare two hard copies of the filled application along with self-attested documents.
4. Submit both hard copies in person at the office of the concerned Bal Vikas Pariyojana Adhikari (CDPO) on working days.
5. Ensure the application reaches the office on or before 06 August 2026, by 6:00 PM.
6. If any document is missing at the time of submission, it can be completed by attaching it with a request letter up to the final date of 06 August 2026; documents will not be accepted after this date.

Important Instructions

• Applications are invited only from local resident women of the Gram Panchayat / revenue village corresponding to each Anganwadi centre — candidates should not apply for centres outside their local Gram Panchayat.
