Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has released Employment Notification No. NCL/SING/HR/Direct-Recruitment/2026-27/246 inviting online applications for 259 statutory mining vacancies including Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C and Surveyor (Mining) T&S Grade B. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 14 July 2026 to 05 August 2026 through the official NCL recruitment portal.

Educational Qualification

Mining Sirdar (T&S Grade C)

Candidates must possess Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board along with any one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.

OR

Option 2

• Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Valid Overman Certificate issued by DGMS.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.

Surveyor (Mining) T&S Grade B

Candidates should possess either:

• Matriculation with Surveyor Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.

OR

• Degree/Diploma in Mining or Mine Surveying Engineering with Surveyor Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.

Important Note

• Distance Education qualifications are not accepted.
• All qualifications must be recognized by AICTE/UGC/appropriate statutory authority.
• Candidates having higher qualifications are also eligible.

NCL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C

Candidates can apply through either qualification route.

Option 1

Applicants must possess:

• Matriculation (10th Pass)
• Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate issued by DGMS
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate
• Valid First Aid Certificate

Option 2

Applicants having:

• 10th Pass
• Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering

2. Surveyor (Mining) T&S Grade B

Option 1

Candidates should have:

• Matriculation
• Surveyor Certificate of Competency (SCC)

Option 2

Candidates possessing

• Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering
• OR Diploma/Degree in Mine Surveying
• Valid Surveyor Certificate (SCC)

Important Qualification Conditions

• Qualifications obtained through Distance Education are not accepted.
• Only AICTE/UGC recognized qualifications are valid.
• All certificates must remain valid on the closing date.
• Certificates issued by DGMS are mandatory wherever applicable.
